Alan Frankel is a founding partner of the firm Frankel, Loughran, Starr and Vallone and co-manages the Firm’s Business Services Group. Alan has directed and managed the Firm since inception with his founding partners. Alan advise his clients on numerous aspects of transactional services including business formation and tax structuring, corporate mergers, acquisitions and sales transactions, corporate financing, cash management, pre and post IPO planning, corporate, partnership and individual tax planning strategies, accounting matters, and general business advisory services. Alan has over twenty five years of experience advising private equity and venture capital funds, hedge funds, other investment partnerships, portfolio companies, real estate entrepreneurs, and, closely held companies and their owners in a wide range of industries Alan has written articles and has chaired and lectured many conferences on tax, accounting and financial planning Issues for investment partnerships, entrepreneurial companies and their business owners.
Alan was formerly a senior manager in the New York office of Ernst & Young, LLP where he served middle market companies.
Alan received his Bachelors’ degree in accounting from Queens College, earned his Masters degree in taxation from Fordham University and completed the certificate of financial planning program at New York University. Alan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and is the former chair of the closely held and S corporation tax committee.
